The LPW6548 is a 5 HP single-stage, three-cylinder cast-iron air compressor pump rated at 18 CFM at 90 PSI and up to 22 SCFM at its 1150 RPM maximum. It has a 120 PSI working pressure and a 140 PSI maximum. It's a replacement pump for 60–80 gallon compressors running a true 5 HP motor, which typically draws 20–23 amps at 230V.
Will it fit your compressor?
Compare three things with your current pump: the mounting bolt pattern (5.25" x 8.25" on the LPW6548), the 12.5" single-groove A-section flywheel and the 1/2" flare discharge. Setting it up
Run the LPW6548 between 700 and 1150 RPM. On a 1750 RPM motor that takes a pulley of roughly 5" to 8-1/4" O.D.; on a 3450 RPM motor, roughly 2-1/2" to 4-1/8". Our Pulley Size & RPM Ratio Calculator works out the exact size for your motor. As a splash-lubricated pump, it's designed for a 70% duty cycle.
The pump ships with its flywheel, intake air filter and an oil sight glass. Oil is not included. Fill it with 30W non-detergent compressor oil before the first start-up. A gallon of our MAG1 ISO-100 compressor oil covers the first fill and several changes. To connect the discharge, our 1/2" x 24" stainless steel flex hose fits the 1/2" flare outlet.
