7.5 HP Single Phase Magnetic Starter

Brand new 7.5 horsepower single phase 220-240 volt magnetic starter with a steel housing. This is a great quality starter with a built in overload which is adjustable from 32-48 amps. Also has a manual reset button that can be switched to auto reset. The steel housing has four 3/4"punch out holes for incoming and outgoing wires. Also included are three rubber surround gromets for the 3/4" holes to protect the wires if needed. Starter comes with wiring instructions.

If you currently have a 7.5 HP air compressor and the contacts on your pressure switch keep burning up, a starter is what is needed to fix the problem.
If you are using this starter on an air compressor, you will also need a pressure switch to control the starter. In this application the pressure switch controls the On and Off of the starter according to the pressure setting of the pressure switch.

Due to this being an electrical item that can be installed incorrectly there is no warranty on this item after installation.

Perfect compact unit for my compressor. Everything internally was marked clearly and the mounting holes made it easy to install on the cinder block wall.

What a Bargain !!

Replaced a worn out starter used to start a 7 1/2 H.P. single phase Compressor Motor.It doesn't have and external reset button if the overloads trip nor does it have a pre-installed control fuse. But it did suit my needs at a low price!! I'm happy with it. Doesn't have 3/4 inch Knockouts just 1/2-1 inch. However Doughnut Washers are cheap.

Works great for my 220 volt pump with float switch.

Used this starter motor for a 5 hp electric water pump, started automatically with a float switch. This is my second starter motor to run a second pump. The first is continuing to run flawlessly. I would recommend to anyone that understands how to wire 220 volt switches.Documentation is not great, directions for wiring are not great either, especially if you are not familiar with this kind of switch. For the electrician, no problem.

Can a separate on and off push button switch be adapted to this starter, I have a 240v single phase 5hp 20" planner that has a separate push on button and a separate stop button.
